On Wednesday, the Director of Mocha Hospital, Dr. Nasr Askar, announced the expansion of the section for malnourished children, with a larger clinical capacity, due to the increase in the number of infected cases coming from Hodeidah Governorate.

In a statement to NewsYemen, Dr. Nasr said that the department, which can accommodate about 15 beds, will receive the additional numbers coming from Hodeidah, which the hospital was unable to receive.

He added that many of the infected cases were transferred to the city of Aden, due to the inability of the department for treating malnourished patients to receive them, due to the low capacity.

Dr.Nasr renewed the call of the Health Office in Hodeidah Governorate, on the necessity of activating the work of health facilities to relieve pressure on Mocha Hospital, and treat the governorate’s patients, most of whom suffer from difficult financial conditions that do not enable them to move to other governorates.
