Mocha, NewsYemen:

The Dutch ambassador to Yemen, Peter Derrek Hof, expressed his country's concern over the continued Houthi escalation in Marib, and the targeting of the Mocha port, and considered them worrying indicators that do not serve the peace process.

This came when Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik received him, according to what was reported on Sunday by the state news agency, Saba.

Hof affirmed the Netherlands' continued support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to alleviate the humanitarian situation, and to build effective partnerships with it in this aspect.

For his part, the Prime Minister affirmed that the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia with missiles and drones on the civilian port of Mocha, in conjunction with the resumption of its commercial and humanitarian activities, represents an extension of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia's targeting of civilian objects and the systematic destruction of the infrastructure of the national economy.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the Houthi militia, through this attack, which targeted a civilian port, warehouses, facilities and infrastructure, and the burning of warehouses of a number of relief organizations operating on the West Coast and goods for importers, insists on continuing to deepen the humanitarian catastrophe it has caused since its coup against the legitimate authority and igniting the war in late 2014, calling on the United Nations and the international community to condemn the Houthi crimes and their continuous escalation and take a firm stance towards them, and not meet them with silence.
