Shabwah, NewsYemen:

On Wednesday, the Iranian-backed Houthi militia bombed residential areas south of Bayhan district in Shabwah governorate, coinciding with its control of the last areas of Al-Bayda‘.

Local sources said that the Houthi militia launched, from its concentration areas, the Nata and Numan fronts, shelling with Katyusha missiles on the Al-Harjah area, the land of Al Mansour.

According to the sources, the bombing resulted in material losses in a station for the sale of oil derivatives located at the entrance to the populated area.

This is the first bombardment of its kind that these areas have been subjected to in Bayhan, Shabwah, since the battles to liberate them from the militia in late 2017.

This comes in conjunction with the Houthis' ability to control the center of the Sawma‘ah district and the mountainous "Sharjan" area in the Mukairas district overlooking Lawdar district in Abyan governorate and parts of Maswarah adjacent to Khoura in Shabwah governorate.
