Shabwa, NewsYemen:

The spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council forces, Muhammad al-Naqib, confirmed that thousands of terrorist elements withdrew during the past two days from al-Bayda to the southern governorates.

In a post on Facebook, Al-Naqeeb said that the large mass withdrawals of Brotherhood militias and the Houthi advance towards Bayhan were accompanied by the largest terrorist military security operation carried out by the Brotherhood's Islah Party.

He added that thousands of al-Qaeda and Daesh terrorist elements were transferred to the southern governorates, and this was far from the control of the world's countries concerned with combating terrorism, he said.

He continued, "The supreme political and military leadership, faced with this double danger, had no choice but to declare a state of emergency and raise readiness, alertness and general mobilization, which was widely supported by the people of the south of all segments."
