Shabwa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

ystery surrounds the fate of the battles in western Shabwa governorate, after the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, incurred in three districts in the governorate more than a week ago.

Activists criticized the disappearance of the governor, Muhammad Salih Ben Adio, after his appearance on the front lines, following those confrontations, the fate of which surrounds a lot of mystery.

Activist and journalist Khalil Al-Omari criticized, in a post on Twitter, the pride in which Bin Adyo appeared on the first day of the battles, and likened his departure to "Al-Qaqaa Bin Omar", one of the Arab knights, pledging to the Yemenis to restore the three districts of Bayhan.

Since the last appearance of Bin Adio, riding a four-wheel drive vehicle, carrying a Kalashnikov, the battles stopped, amid wide questions on the Yemeni street, until the government forces spokesman, Brigadier General Abdo Majali, confirmed in a press briefing the continuation of the confrontations on the Bayhan and Usaylan fronts on the western outskirts of Shabwa, which was denied by local sources.

Al-Omari, pointed out the similarities that bin Adio brings together with the former commander in the government forces, Hashem al-Ahmar, who failed to make any progress for the forces of the Sixth Military District against the Houthis.

Instead, the appearance of Governor Ben Adio was accompanied by his making a statement, which drew dozens of criticism, after he recalled the events of December of 2017, in which former President Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed.
