Aden, NewsYemen, special:

The United Arab Emirates intervened within the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, in the summer of 2015 and made achievements, from the battles to defeat the Houthis, to normalizing the situation, to eliminating terrorism, and preserving land for the sixth year in a row.

The Emirati intervention, in the governorates of southern Yemen, succeeded in defeating the Houthi group, Iran’s arm in the country, including the governorate of Aden, in the summer of 2015. Then, the Emirati efforts went to normalize the situation, but the terrorist organizations Al-Qaeda and ISIS were another obstacle to restore life to the liberated cities, but the determination The Emirati was present, and the two extremist organizations were defeated by the Emiratis and their allies from southern Yemen, in Aden, Shabwa, Abyan, Hadhramaut and Lahj, where these provinces have been strongholds of ISIS and Al-Qaeda since after the summer of 2015.

In conjunction with the victory of the south over the Houthis, al-Qaeda and ISIS, the allies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Brotherhood of Yemen, were freezing the fronts in the north, and thwarting the efforts of the ally leading the Decisive Storm. This necessitated a new Emirati intervention, as the Emirati efforts were directed towards the western coast of the country, and those efforts succeeded in liberating large parts of it.

The UAE’s allies in southern and northern Yemen have never lost the areas that were liberated with Emirati support, similar to the allies of Saudi Arabia, who lost most of their areas.

Although more than six years have passed since Decisive Storm, Saudi Arabia has not changed the tools that lead the war in the north, and the Yemeni brothers are still handing over liberated areas after another to the Houthis.

Observers believe that the Emirati successes in Yemen annoyed the Brotherhood, whose goal was to profit from the war. The group quickly turned against the UAE in the summer of 2017, and began demanding its exit from the country, with the intense media promotion of northern Yemen, that the UAE's intervention became an occupation, which It shifted the battle from north to south.

Politician Hussein Laqour considered that the Yemeni brothers had gone far from the goals of the war.

Lakour added: "Since the beginning of the war in Yemen, the Brotherhood has maneuvered, rather conspired, to divert the battle to liberate Sanaa, after they were given one opportunity after another, as they led their partisan and regional battle away from the goals of the war."

With the Yemeni Brotherhood’s preoccupation with the UAE and the south of the country and profiting from the war, the Houthis obtained a valuable loophole, which enabled them to control the liberated areas in the north, from Nihm to Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, and Bayhan. Today, the noose is tightening more and more on the city of Ma’rib.

Soon, the brothers of Yemen, and their allies, call for unity against the Houthis, when the noose tightens on them.

Activist Zaid bin Yafa said that in the summer of 2015, the UAE relied on history and supported the southern tribes, so Shabwa and the southern governorates were liberated in a few days, while Saudi Arabia relied on the party. When Prince Fahd bin Turki replaced history with a 30-year-old political party, Baihan fell in less than two hours .
