The UN envoy arrives in Aden for the first time.. and the Transitional Council welcomes

Aden, NewsYemen:

 The United Nations envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, arrived on Tuesday in the capital, Aden, after a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

This is the first time that Hans Grundberg has arrived in Aden, since he assumed his duties in early September, and comes within the framework of a new tour to revive the stalled peace process in Yemen.

 The official spokesman of the Transitional Council, Ali Al-Kathiri, welcomed the arrival of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen and his visit to the capital, Aden, stressing the keenness of the Southern Transitional Council to support its efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.

In a press statement, Al Kathiri stressed that "peace must be a real, unconditional, serious decision."

The UN envoy had concluded a "three-day visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during which he met with Yemeni and Saudi officials in Riyadh."
