Shabwa, NewsYemen, private:

What is certain for the people is that the Shabwa Brotherhood authority has sold three directorates in the governorate to the Houthi group, but what people differ on is how much these directorates cost and what the authority thinks of these steps?

In Baihan, the citizens say that the forces were not equal, as the scale outweighed the Brotherhood’s forces with large equipment, while the attacking forces, which remained for months at the top of Mount Al-Qanza’, were not equivalent to half of the Brotherhood’s forces and without heavy weapons, but the surprise was the fall of the directorates in this strange way.

The withdrawal of the forces was gradual before the entry of the Houthi militias and within the Brotherhood’s plan to hand over the areas, but the citizens of Bayhan confirmed that even the forces that withdrew on the day the militias entered the city were able to defend the city and prevent its fall, but the matter seems to be agreed upon, even the Houthi fighters entered the city on foot.  The feet were as if an agreement had been made between the two groups, making them confident that there was no resistance or danger to them.

About a month after the fall of Bayhan, Usaylan, Ain and Al-Alia without a fight, it was as if it was handing over and receiving, but what raises doubt and confirms that what happened was part of an agreement between the two groups is not trying to restore those areas, but rather the absence of defensive fronts defending other areas, including the capital, Ataq.

What is certain is that the Shabwa authority has sold the districts and signed an agreement with the Houthi militias to take over these areas, but why did it take these steps?

In the past few days, a military delegation from Shaqra forces met with the Shabwa leadership in Ataq to discuss the latest developments in Shabwa and Abyan and the significant progress of the Houthi militia, which threatens to return the Iranian arm to the two governorates after 7 years of defeating them.

Sources in the military delegation say that they were surprised by the position of the governor of Shabwa, "Mohammed Salih bin Adiyo," so that during the meeting he refused to talk about restoring the areas that Shabwa had lost.

The sources indicated that Ibn Udayo was avoiding talking about Bayhan, Usaylan and Ain, and when talking about supporting the fronts to restore the areas controlled by the militias, he said that it was not the time for that, as he was pouring out his anger on the Arab coalition about things that have nothing to do with the fall of the fronts and the military failure.

These sources and Ibn Adyo’s position are reinforced by the statement of the transitional president of Shabwa, “Ali al-Jabwani,” who confirmed that the transitional submitted a request to the authority of Ibn Adyo to participate in the fighting and restore the areas controlled by the Houthi militia, but the request was rejected by the Brotherhood authority.

Al-Jabwani indicated that the Brotherhood's authority, in a meeting, preferred to take over the conservative Houthi militia than to have the transitional forces enter to participate in the fight against the Iranian arm.

The sources say that Ibn Adyo's action to hand over areas and the threat to hand Ataq comes within the framework of his and his party's war against the Arab coalition forces in the province.

Observers believe that the Brotherhood authority took these steps in response to the failure to hand over the Balhaf facility and the departure of the Arab coalition forces after they made movements near the facility and threatened to storm it two months ago.

Activists in Shabwa called on the Saudi leadership to take a firm stance in the face of the Brotherhood’s actions and its tampering with the governorate and its refusal to fight and defend the governorate and hand it over to areas without fighting.
