Al-Zubaidi: The battle with Al-Houthi is a "priority" and legitimacy's tampering with the citizen's power will ignite a revolution

The head of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, confirmed on Monday that the battle with the Iran-backed Houthi militia "represents a military and political priority for the council."

This came in a speech broadcast by the channel 

 "Aden Independent", on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the glorious National Independence Day.

Al-Zubaidi said, "What saddens and grieves the souls today is that our people in the liberated south, after seven years of defeating the Houthi militias from the south, are in this state of suffering and lack of the most basic requirements of life," referring the reasons to what he called "a vengeful desire from the forces of evil and corruption."  Through its practices, it seeks to keep our people under its hegemony.

The President of the Southern Transitional Council called, "the brothers in the Arab coalition, to intervene quickly to save our people in the south, by supporting the government of parity to carry out its duties, revive the currency, reform financial and economic policies, pay salaries and improve services, and put pressure on the obstructing parties to stop using the citizen's livelihood and livelihood."  In the policy of collective punishment and its war against the south and its national cause.

He stressed the need to remove what he described as "the hands of corruption and failure" from the decision-making circles, and limit their absurdity, which is about to ignite a massive revolution, which is a legitimate and blessed revolution, as long as it is in defense of people's interests, dignity and right to life.

He also called for reformulating the strategy and straightening the compass in a way that embodies the full and effective implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, and achieves the restructuring of the state system with all its institutions and various levels in a way that ends corruption and addresses slack and economic and military collapse, and the monopoly of decision-making power by the forces of corruption and influencers at the expense of the citizen's livelihood, and the future of the citizen.  Our people are in the south.

He said, "The Transitional Council believes that the real and proper way to address the crisis lies in implementing the Riyadh Agreement and reconsidering the mechanism of management, leadership and decision-making."

He expressed concern about "the growing dangers of Houthi-Brotherhood coordination, and the resulting handover of areas to Houthi militias without resistance, as happened and is happening today in Baihan in Shabwa Governorate, which is under the control of Brotherhood militias."

At the same time, Al-Zubaidi saluted the popular and tribal movement of the people of Shabwa, and affirmed the council’s support for their demands, which they expressed at the Al-Watt Festival in the Nisab district, on November 16, calling for a speedy response to these demands to protect Shabwa and the interests of its people, and the future of the region.

While Major General Al-Zubaidi affirmed support for the efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen to start a comprehensive and realistic peace process, leading to stopping the war, accommodating the constants on the ground, and the Southern Transitional Council being involved in all its stages, making the south, the cause of its people and their right to independence, present and a priority that does not accept procrastination.  , or postponement.
