629 Houthi mines were removed from the newly liberated areas in Hodeidah

 The Saudi project to clear mines in Yemen (Masam), said that its engineering teams working in the Hays district of the Hodeidah governorate were able to remove and destroy more than 629 anti-tank mines left by the Houthi militia in the newly liberated villages and farms.

The media office of the project of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action stated that the engineering teams were able to remove and destroy 589 anti-armor landmines, in addition to 38 explosive devices that the Houthi militia had planted at the entrances to villages, farms, schools, water wells, the health center and other facilities in the district.

He said that the engineering teams were able to open safe corridors and secure the homes of citizens in a number of newly liberated villages, the most important of which are the villages of Dhumi and Al Rabat, Al Humayniyeh, Al Sabaa, Deir Dobla, and Bani Zuhair, in addition to securing health centers in Al-Dahiya, Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and Al-Nasr schools, and a number of wells and water tanks.

He pointed out that the work of Masam's teams continues at a high rate in all villages and liberated areas in the districts of the West Coast until zero mines are reached and citizens' lives are secured in their homes and livelihoods.
