American and Iranian experts ruled out that the death of the Iranian delegate to the Houthi militia, Hassan Erlo, was due to an air strike by the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen.

And former US intelligence officer and official Bruce Riedel said, in a statement to "Newsmen": "I understand that he was sent back to Iran (Erlo), but I don't know why. So I think if he died, it wouldn't be an air strike."

In turn, the defected Iranian military expert Babak Taqawii said that the image he is promoting in the media as evidence that (Erlo) was injured as a result of an air strike actually shows him in the intensive care unit due to Corona.

According to the Iranian expert, "Erlo died because of Corona, not because of an air strike."

In an exclusive interview with NewsYemen, Taqawii pointed out that "the image circulating is old and shows another commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards who was infected with Corona earlier this year."

In this context, the American expert specialized in national security affairs and terrorist movements, Irina Zuckerman, doubted that "Erlo" died due to air strikes or was injured in Yemen.

"I doubt that he (Hassan Erlo) died due to air strikes or was injured in Yemen, because he certainly knew about the security situation and it is normal that he would hide in a secret facility that is difficult to target or reach," Zuckerman said in a statement to "Newsmen".

"But having the coronavirus and being in a bad situation is very real," Zuckerman added.

And the American expert concluded: "Having said that, I don't trust anything Iran says. So as long as they publicly admit that he has coronavirus, there is likely to be a lot going on behind the scenes."
