Sana'a, NewsYemen:

The lawyer of the defendants in the case of the killing of the Houthi leader, "the Minister of Youth" in the militia government, Hassan Zaid, revealed irregularities by the criminal prosecution regarding the case.

Lawyer Abdel Baset Ghazi confirmed that the court refused to summon Hassan Zaid's daughter to testify about her father's killing, as she was present with him during the operation and was shot in the hand.

Ghazi indicated, in a post on his Facebook page, that "the prosecution is entrusted with searching for the truth and diving into the details of the crime to find out its causes and who committed it, and that the victim is the Secretary-General of a party and a member of the government - meaning the militia government - the prosecution must  Taking the words of the saints of blood and benefiting from any information that leads to the truth.”

He added: "This is what we demanded, and we still adhere to the request of Sister Sakina Hassan Zaid, and take her words as a complainant in our presence, and that she was present at the crime scene, and thirdly, to explain the details of the assassination of her father, with what she saw and heard."

He wondered: Will the prosecution respond to the demands of the defense, or will it turn a blind eye and waste the rights of the accused and the demands of the defense, and send the file to the court without fulfilling our demands, as a defense attorney entrusted by the accused, not a position of the prosecution?

Sakina Hassan Zaid revealed the perpetrator of her father's murder, stressing that she was threatened with liquidation by the same person, and did not explicitly state his identity, and held the Houthi authorities responsible for what she and her family were exposed to, in a tweet to her on her Twitter account shortly after her father's death.

Hassan Zaid was killed in his car as a result of an assassination operation by gunmen riding a motorcycle, in the middle of a street in Sana'a.

Hours after the incident, the Iranian arm’s militia accused citizens, activists confirmed that some of them had been detained on charges of violating the group politically, and they had nothing to do with what happened. They are: Muammar Al-Razi, Abdul-Malik Ziyad, Youssef Al-Razi, and the young child Ibrahim Al-Hamati.

Commenting on what was mentioned by the defendants' lawyer, activist Laila Muhammad said: "The Houthis only want these - meaning the accused - and they do not want any other accused."  In reference to what is going on cooked and masterminded.

Meanwhile, blogger Salah Al-Qiyadi stated that the militia seeks to make these accused scapegoats and close the case, as happened with the innocent accused from Hodeidah who were liquidated under the pretext of conspiring to kill Al-Samad.

He said, "The same scenario is being repeated by the Houthis now, even with a juvenile child."
