The forces of the Giants Brigades continue to advance towards the "Naqoub" area, which is located at a crossroads linking the governorates of Shabwa and Marib, amid fierce battles, with the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

On Sunday, the Giants' forces liberated the strategic Balboom mountain and reached the outskirts of the Hima junction on the Marib and Shabwa line.

The forces of the giants said in a statement, "The first phase of Operation Cyclone South, launched by the commander of the Giants Brigades, Brigadier General Abu Zara'a al-Muharrami, succeeded in liberating the center of the Usaylan district, and the strategic mountains, amid a state of collapse among the Houthis."

The statement stated that "the Southern Giants Brigades, with air support from the coalition to support legitimacy led by Saudi Arabia, purified the center of the Usaylan Wahid bin Aqil district overlooking Usaylan, Al-Hajar, Jabal Lakhider, and Al-Saleem."

The statement confirmed that the forces continued to advance towards the "Naqoub" through one of the combat axes, as well as to advance towards the Bayhan district, amid fierce battles being waged with various types of medium and heavy weapons.

According to the statement, the Houthi militia suffered "heavy losses in equipment and lives, and dozens of its members were killed and hundreds wounded, in addition to the destruction of military vehicles of the militias' equipment."

The fighters of the Arab coalition and the artillery of the Giants Brigades directed focused strikes on Houthi militia sites and barracks, which resulted in direct casualties among the Houthi militia.
