Mocha, NewsYemen, private:

The Houthi militia set fire to 30 houses belonging to civilians, on Sunday, in the areas south of Hodeidah.

Activist Abdullah Assili told NewsYemen that the Houthi militia has set fire to 30 civilian homes in the areas covered by the Stockholm Agreement, on the pretext that they belong to the joint forces.

He added, that the houses that were burned are located in the districts of Zabid, Al-Hussainah, Beit Al-Faqih, Al-Durayhimi, Al-Hadeh, Al-Shujaira and Al-Taif districts, which are the areas that the joint forces vacated last November.

He explained that there was widespread looting of these houses, and that the Houthi militiamen confiscated their furniture and valuables, before setting them on fire.

He pointed out that the Houthi militia justified these crimes by the affiliation of the owners of the targeted homes to the joint forces, and that it issued a fatwa authorizing the burning operations.
