Aden.. The price crisis and the collapse of the riyal return to the fore again

The prices of food and other commodities have risen again, after falling slightly last month, coinciding with the collapse of the riyal again.

Citizens complained about the recurrence of prices, and said that the improvement of the local currency in the recent period was illusory to drain the exchange companies of foreign currencies.

Some small shops confirmed to NewsYemen that they were unable to buy new goods because the exchange was not proven, and with wholesalers continuing to sell at the old high prices.

The prices of the roti and the bread also caught on, and the price of one loaf reached 50 riyals, and the price of five loaves was 200 riyals, while the price of one roti increased by ten riyals.

In conjunction with those crises, transportation prices also increased, despite the prices of the Ministry of Transport previously approved, and despite the stability of low oil prices.

Bus drivers claim that their cars depend on gas, as prices have recently increased in conjunction with the closure of private gas stations.
