On Wednesday, the Executive Unit for Mine Action in Al-Khokha district discovered a Houthi minefield.

And the specialized demining unit reported, through a Facebook post, that its team discovered a mine field that includes 35 mines with multiple mechanisms, people, and pedals, which are packages equipped with an explosive device that explodes when the victim steps on them.

It added that the discovered field is in the village of Al-Hanjalah, which belongs to the recently liberated Al-Khokha district.

East al-Khoukha areas are considered high-impact fields due to the random and dense laying of mines and there are individual mines and pedals. It is a populated area and an agricultural area.

Two children were killed a few days ago in a Houthi landmine explosion while they were working on a farm in the Al-Warah area of Al-Khokha.

The western coast is the largest minefield, with experts estimating that the Houthi militia has planted about two million multiple mines.

And those mines caused the fall of more than 1200 victims, the majority of whom were children while grazing sheep.
