Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Although parliament unanimously granted confidence to the government of Maeen Abdul-Malik on Thursday, the report of the committee tasked by Parliament to review the general program of the government revealed a significant weakness in the program.

The committee’s report, a copy of which was obtained by NewsYemen, revealed that the program submitted by the government is the same program that it prepared after its formation about a year and four months ago, without taking into account the recent political developments related to Riyadh’s consultations and the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The committee sharply criticized the government's program in its report, saying that it "represents a general theoretical statement that is not clear-cut," and that it did not find "specific and clear remedies that the government is obligated to implement in accordance with specific procedures and times," stressing that this does not help Parliament and the supervisory authorities from following up and evaluating the government's performance.  .

While the report referred to the program's diagnosis of financial conditions, the government did not indicate how to address this, but he expressed surprise at the government's talk about "addressing an economic downturn and timidly."

The committee's report referred to the government's talk about printing money without a cover and its damage to the national currency and inflation, wondering: Who has followed this policy of ill-considered money printing?  Is it not the successive governments of legitimacy and the bad successive administrations of the Central Bank?

Pointing out that the government did not indicate in its program how to address these serious imbalances in monetary policy, including the government's suspension of the cash issuance process, adding that the committee noted the absence of realistic indicators or practical measures to control inflation, and the government did not indicate the sources and mechanism of financing the budget deficit from sources  Safe and non-inflated.

The report criticized the government's ignoring program to work on reforming and correcting all procedures and appointment decisions that were issued in the civil apparatus or the military and security corps.  He pointed out that the government did not pay special attention in its program to activating the security services, and it also neglected to absorb the treatments contained in the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference regarding the reorganization of the armed and security forces.

The report also indicated that the government did not pay attention to re-communicating with the companies operating in the oil and gas sector whose activities in the field of oil and gas production were suspended, and to agree with them to resume production.

The committee said that it noted that what the government program mentioned regarding infrastructure and private utilities and their rehabilitation “came in loose terms and there are no measurable and follow-up indicators,” and the government program did not specify unemployment rates and the percentage that the government will work to reduce.

The committee pointed out that the government program neglected the reality of basic education, limiting it to "general statements that do not carry any digital indicators," noting that most of the headquarters of international organizations remain in Sana'a, which is beneficial to the Houthi militia through external funds.
