Political activist Abd Rabbo al-Awlaki revealed a violent campaign led by partisan parties targeting the Shabwa authority, calling on the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, the first target, to dismiss managers loyal to the Islah Party from important institutions.

Al-Awlaki stated, in a publication, that there is a vigorous and vengeful partisan campaign targeting the Shabwa authority and its leader in the first place, in which dozens from outside Shabwa governorate are participating.

He said that it is difficult to defend the authority of Shabwa, and the lies and slanders of those who attack it, for one very important reason, which is that the current authority has not made any real administrative changes with the excuses of non-exclusion and that it does not take revenge on anyone.

He explained that the authority is still in general, especially the important revenue and service departments, in the hands of the Islah Party, who were appointed by the dismissed governor.

He pointed out that officials in the Shabwa authority loyal to the Islah party have appeared in recent months that they are not convinced of the change, and their apathy has begun to work with the aim of inciting citizens against the new governor.

Earlier, southern activists warned the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, that leaders loyal to the Brotherhood would remain in their positions in the governorate’s military and security formations.

They said that there are security and military leaders loyal to the Islah party, who are still at the forefront of the scene in the governorate, despite the changes and the removal of the Brotherhood's symbols from the head of power.

The southern activists considered the survival of these leaders in their positions a danger to the local authority, and the biggest obstacle to any reforms and development in the governorate, calling on the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, to pressure the Presidential Leadership Council, to dismiss Brotherhood leaders, and to restructure the security formations in the governorate.

The southern academic, Hussein Al-Diani, said that Shabwa Governorate is on a date with the return of the governor, Ibn Al-Wazir, to correct the defect that it has suffered so much from.

He pointed out that the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, spent most of his absence from the governorate searching for ways to support its services.
