Aden, NewsYemen, Muhammad Abdul Rahman:

It is good that the UAE and Saudi Arabia have great flexibility to deal with the major changes that occur, especially those related to confronting security threats that come from the Houthi terrorist group, which acts as an advanced bulwark for the Iranian regime in the region. This flexibility was demonstrated by the Gulf states, especially the United Arab Emirates.  Which made it draw the features of its future plans in the field of defense and to address any upcoming threats by any means possible.

The recent attacks launched by the Houthi terrorist group on Emirati civilian facilities have strengthened the UAE leadership's determination to delve into the defensive fields, especially with regard to drones, the new weapon that has proven effective in the attack without causing casualties if it is confronted, unlike combat aircraft.  whose leaders call for a pilot who is trained and equipped to fly the fighter plane, in exchange for the UAE, Saudi Arabia worked on the same Emirati curriculum, especially since the attacks on oil facilities by the Houthi militias affiliated with Iran through drones, caused a shock in the process of oil production and export, which made the Saudi leadership think  In the face of these threats through more advanced defense systems capable of confronting the marches coming from Yemen.

Because of the new trends of the UAE in building strong relations with major countries such as China and Russia, away from American hegemony, the recent attacks on Emirati installations by Houthi drones revealed American discontent with the new Emirati policy in drawing new relations with China and Russia, this matter also strengthened  The UAE leadership has the need to diversify international relations and diversify the sources of dealing in order to repel any upcoming security threats.

Like the UAE, Saudi Arabia found itself in a non-defensive situation that absolutely protected its skies from Iranian Houthi attacks, especially after the United States withdrew the Patriot systems from places it had installed earlier, and this reinforced Saudi Arabia's need to redraw relations with other countries.  Such as China and Russia, and that trusting the United States absolutely is illogical in the face of these constant threats that Iran implements through its militias in Yemen.

It is not logical for the United States to make the security of the Gulf countries at risk while it is engaged in negotiations with Iran to return to the nuclear agreement, but also to announce a withdrawal from the region without sufficient guarantees to prevent the continuing threats surrounding the Gulf countries, and to repudiate the mutual defense agreements between the States  The United States and the Gulf states, not because the US policy has shifted to another region, after the Middle East was the region that had the greatest importance for the source of oil that the United States imported.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia realized that these variables and the Houthi terrorist attacks on civilian and economic facilities are key to building relations that contribute to strengthening the two countries’ policies in the region as well as protecting against threats away from American exploitation and domination. Therefore, we find the United States after the Russian-American war in an unenviable position.  , it is at a weak point trying to beg the Gulf countries, and is ready to make concessions and conclude partnership agreements, but although there is a Gulf response with the United States, which will culminate in Biden's next visit, the UAE and Saudi Arabia will not stop weaving relations with other major countries  Like China and Russia.
