Normal life returns to Ataq after overcoming the Brotherhood's rebellion

Life in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, has returned to normal, after the events that took place in the city as a result of the rebellion and the Brotherhood's military coup against the local authority in the governorate.

The Shabwa Governorate Information Office confirmed that life in the city of Ataq returned to normal on the first working day of this week, after the military rebellion against the local authority in the governorate was put down.

On Saturday, the local authority headed by the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, approved the implementation of a security plan to secure the capital of the governorate, Ataq, and the neighboring districts, and set tasks for all military units, including support and intelligence units, and intelligence work.

Shabwa Governor, Head of the Security Committee, Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, directed the forces of the Second Brigade of Shabwa Defense to resume the expanded security campaign to prevent carrying weapons and roaming with them inside the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, starting from Sunday.

The governor, Ibn al-Wazir, stressed the importance of enhancing the performance of the security services and joint coordination among all military units, for the success of the security plan, consolidating the pillars of security and stability in the governorate and the normalization of civilian life there.

On Sunday morning, the Shabwa Defense Forces removed the security and military barriers, and the barricades used by the rebel Brotherhood forces in the city of Ataq, Shabwa governorate.

The governor, Ibn al-Wazir, directed the Shabwa Defense Forces to remove the Akaf point east of Ataq city, the electricity point, remove barriers and barricades, and open roads to alleviate the suffering of citizens, facilitate the movement of vehicles and show the city in a more beautiful way.

It is noteworthy that the local authority in Shabwa governorate directed the Shabwa Defense Forces, a week before the rebellion, to implement a security plan to prevent the phenomenon of carrying weapons and roaming around the city of Ataq.

In its early days, the campaign achieved great successes, and received wide praise from the people of the province, which prompted the forces loyal to the Brotherhood at the time to move against the efforts of the local authority and the Shabwa Defense Forces to establish security and stability and thwart the security campaign.
