Taiz, NewsYemen, special:

A student at Taiz University has disappeared, amid mysterious circumstances and accusations by the security authorities of the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, of not taking responsibility for revealing the student’s fate.

Five days ago, the young woman, Noha Abdullah Hamoud Saeed, left her family's home on her way to the College of Applied Sciences at Taiz University, where she studies in the Department of Physics (second level), but she has not returned since that moment and her fate is not yet known.

A source close to the student's family said that the family and its friends conducted a large-scale search after Noha's disappearance. The family also submitted a report to the security services in Taiz, but the police did not take any action.

While a security source stated that the surveillance cameras monitored the student, Noha, entering the gate of Taiz University, last Thursday morning, but she did not monitor her exit from the university, which raised suspicions among her family and colleagues.

Later, one of the student's classmates, "Noha", received a phone call from an unknown person who told her that he knew the location of the latter's disappearance.

When the student informed Noha's family, who in turn informed the Taiz police and moved to seize the owner of the phone, he claimed during his interrogation that the missing student was in intensive care, without specifying the name of the hospital.

Meanwhile, the family and her daughter's colleagues conducted a search that included all hospitals in the city of Taiz, but they did not find her.

On Saturday, dozens of male and female students staged a protest in front of the College of Applied Sciences at Taiz University, denouncing the disappearance of the student, Noha Al-Jama'i.

The protesters demanded the security services to quickly reveal the circumstances of the crime and return the student to her family.

Lawyer Ihab Al-Dahabli, who published on his Facebook page the story of the student’s disappearance, said in a post on his Facebook, “If the balance of trust between the victim and the security authorities is disturbed, the offender will judge us, whether we like it or not,” in reference to the role of security in the case..

He added, "It is known that gangs do not disappear even in the most powerful countries known for their strong security and intelligence apparatus. On the contrary, you find that crime there is more organized and complex, and criminals innovate ways that parallel the efficiency of the security systems there and sometimes overcome them."  The womb of war, or rather, is she still living in its furnace?”

He continued, "We all know the extent of the frightening harmony between the security apparatus and the army, to the extent that it has become like an abyss abyss in which all subpoenas and coercive arrest warrants against people affiliated with the army in one way or another disappear.

He added: "It is not hidden from one of the frightening squares controlled by "X or Y", and the security campaigns cannot access them without prior coordination with those who govern those squares."

He concluded by saying: "Putting the security apparatus in the accusation field may greatly prejudice the performance and procedures of those who work in it, as we make the victim live in a real confrontation with those who will do justice to him, and we will enter them into a vicious cycle that is useless and only the perpetrators benefit."
