A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, head of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, on Monday, mourned the departure of the great Yemeni writer and critic, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Maqaleh, who died at his home in Sana'a, after a long illness.
Brigadier General Tariq Saleh said, on his Twitter account, that the poet, writer, and administrator who lived through the transformations of the Republic and the confrontations of its enemies passed away with his body, but his legacy will remain immortal with the eternity of the revolution and the Republic.
He added, "The writer Abdulaziz Al-Maqaleh lived happily with the victories of September 62, and died of pain at the return of its enemies," referring to the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, concluded by saying: "Our deep condolences on the passing of Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Maqaleh, to his family, loved ones, and all of Yemen."
