The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has expanded the robbery of citizens' lands in its areas of control, in the north of the country, amid major crimes committed against the victims in conjunction with the looting of their property.

Prominent leaders of the Houthi militia are at the forefront of robbing state real estate and citizens' lands in many areas under its control, especially in Sana'a, Ibb, Dhamar, and Hodeidah

The recent campaign carried out by the militia to plunder the lands and property of the people of the Saraf area in the Bani Hashish district, northeast of Sana'a, as well as the campaign of looting citizens' lands in the Hamedan district, in the same governorate, is a clear indication of the Houthis' criminality against the Yemenis.

Tihama lands are at the top of the targets

The Tihama areas in Al-Hodeidah Governorate are one of the places that Iran’s arm sought to rob its lands as a natural result of its terrorist ambitions.

The Stockholm Agreement of 2018, which resulted in halting the liberation of Hodeidah, helped to expand the circle of fears of the Houthi militia, which turned some lands into military barracks and others into fields planted with mines, explosive devices and trenches.

Recently, the situation has reached the point of attacking specific lands and their owners, women and men, and the arrest of some of them and the deaths of others, as happened in the town of Al-Zaraniq in the Beit Al-Faqih district, south of Al-Hodeidah, in a scene that reflects the militia’s barbarism and its unbridled desire to impose a new reality whose victim is the  tihamy citizen.

The campaign met with popular resistance by the people of Al-Zaraniq in the coastal villages of Al-Qusra in the Beit Al-Faqih district, to which the militias responded by violently storming these villages through a military campaign that included 30 military vehicles carrying dozens of gunmen, who began shooting indiscriminately and arresting about 100 residents of the region.

The militia seeks, through land theft, to bring about a geographic change by annexing large areas between the directorates, as if someone is instructing and planning for this precisely, with the aim of imposing a geographical reality or a new administrative division

Ibb is one of the governorates that fall most in the same circle of looting. The lands of endowments, some government facilities, and lands owned by citizens were widely looted by Houthi leaders, followed by the governorates of Dhamar, Hajjah, and Al-Mahweet, from which vast lands were transferred to the group's fighters, and training camps and new facilities were established.
