Seiyun, newsyemen, exclusive:

For more than four months, no voice has been raised in the Hadramout Valley except for the voice of popular anger and the continuous escalation led by the "Youth of Anger" movement in order to demand the completion of the implementation of the military part of the Riyadh Agreement and the removal of the forces of the first military region from the Hadramout Valley to the battle fronts to confront the Houthi militia - arm  Iran in Yemen.

Legitimate demands raised by dozens of peaceful marches that took place in the districts of Wadi and the desert of Hadramout over a period of months, led by the city of Seiyun, the capital of the valley and desert of Hadramout, despite the arbitrary measures, violations and the Brotherhood’s repression machine that the military forces practiced to confront and thwart these protests.

The protests led by the movement stress the need to remove the forces of the first military zone and replace them with local forces from the people of the province, and assume the tasks of maintaining security and stability, combating terrorism and eliminating arms smuggling and Houthi marches.

Who are the youth of anger

The Anger Youth Movement has emerged remarkably recently, in the valley and desert of Hadramout, and this movement has become a leader in the popular demonstrations, calling for the establishment of vigils against the presence of the forces of the first military region, rejecting the deterioration of the security and service conditions, and depriving the people of the governorate from managing the affairs of their regions.

The youth movement appeared for the first time in May 2018 during strikes and popular demonstrations that took place in Seiyun and the districts of the Valley and the Desert in order to denounce the deterioration of the value of the local currency, the rise in food prices, the deterioration of electricity services, the lack of oil derivatives and other human rights demands.

The Anger Youth Movement began defining itself as a group of young people of bad children who aspire to live in security and stability, obtain services and improve the living conditions of the population.  The movement expanded later with the escalation of demands, forming a youth movement at the level of the various directorates of Wadi and Hadramout desert, aiming to "pressure decision makers to implement the citizens' demands," as he mentioned in his profile published on his Facebook page.

What the directorates of the Valley and the Desert suffer from a terrible security breakdown, and a frightening escalation of assassinations and kidnappings that affected local, religious and security leaders from the people of the governorate, prompted the Anger movement to escalate its demands for the departure of the local, security and military authority that follows the Islah Party and caused the deterioration of conditions compared to the coast of Hadramout, which enjoys security  And unprecedented stability thanks to the Hadrami elite forces.

Recently, demands have been raised to replace the Hadrami forces under the name of the "Hadrami Elite" or "Hadramaut Defense" as a substitute for the military zone forces.  And stopping the first military from tampering with oil wealth and revenues, since the forces are stationed in the production fields and the vicinity of the oil companies operating in the valley and desert of Hadramout.

Presidential decisions are not enough

In early December, the Presidential Council issued decisions appointing four officials to positions in the local authority and the First Military Region, including Brigadier General Yahya Abu Awja, who was commander of the 135th Brigade and the region's war staff.  And replacing him with the commander, Brigadier General Amer Abdullah Al-Nahdi, in the position of Staff of the Regional War.

Those decisions were rejected by the "Youth of Anger" movement, describing them as political anesthetic doses taken by the Presidential Leadership Council to curb popular protests and their escalation.  Especially since it does not meet the aspirations of citizens in the valley and desert of Hadramout and achieve their basic demands.

Political activist Yasser Omar confirms that Houthi terrorist threats and activities are increasing day by day, which is supposed to represent the biggest and most prominent challenge that preoccupies the Presidential Leadership Council, and in order to do so, it requires addressing these threats and issuing a decision to transfer the brigades of the First Military Region to the seam sites.

He added that the decision to dismiss Abu Awja is right, but it is not sufficient, because if the decision does not include the transfer of the brigades affiliated with the first region, it will not end the dispute in Wadi Hadramout and stop its repercussions, explaining that forces of this size stand in the rear and are neutral in light of the war, hiding hidden intentions towards the liberated areas.  In the south, which is one of the reasons that delayed the resolution of the battle with the Houthi militia and disturbed security and stability in the areas of the Wadi and desert of Hadramout.

Activist Yasser Omar reiterated his support for the demands of the people of Hadramout regarding the deterioration of the security situation in the valley and desert areas in Hadhramaut due to the presence of the brigades affiliated to the First Region Command. It has become necessary to remove those forces and transfer them to their location on the battle fronts and for the people of Hadhramaut to take over the management of their province locally, security and militarily.

Ending arms smuggling to the Houthis

The "Youth of Anger" movement accuses the second military region of supporting and sheltering terrorist organizations whose activities have recently emerged, the latest of which was the kidnapping of foreigners working for Doctors Without Borders who were on the line connecting Seiyun and Ma'rib.  And targeting a convoy of the International Organization for Migration while they were in areas controlled by the military forces in Wadi Hadramout.

The movement also confirmed, in a statement a few days ago, the involvement of the First Military Region forces in smuggling weapons and drones to the Iran-backed Houthi militia.  Where two trucks carrying weapons and marches were seized by the Hadrami security forces, and the forces of the first military region tried to release them and release them.

The "Youth of Anger" statement confirmed that the liberation of the valley areas from the forces of the First Military Region and handing them over to the elite forces is a guarantee of thwarting the plans to smuggle weapons to the Houthi group and other terrorist organizations in the region, adding: "The liberation of Wadi Hadramout is an urgent popular demand to hand over to its sons the reins of their military and security affairs in order to stop and dry up  Sources of arms smuggling and marches used by the Houthi militia to strike ports and oil installations in Hadramout.

Constant confirmation of the uprising

The Anger Youth Movement in Wadi Hadramout confirmed that the popular uprising and peaceful popular escalation to remove the first military from Wadi Hadramout did not and will not stop until its departure.

He continued, "We condemn and denounce all attempts led and marketed by forces hostile to the will of the people of Hadhramaut by supporting dark and flimsy projects to try to divide Hadhramaut and drag the governorate into the square of security imbalances and absurd chaos."

In conclusion, we call on all young people of anger and all the free and revolutionaries of the people of Hadramout Valley to roll up their sleeves and prepare for a new phase of peaceful popular escalation, demanding the removal of the first military zone and rejecting the starvation policy.
