Aden, NewsYemen:

The United Nations envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, concluded a two-day visit to Sana'a, during which he held talks with the leaders of the Houthi militia, about opportunities to revive the stalled truce in the country.

Upon his departure from Sana'a, the international mediator did not make any statements to the media about the results of his discussions with the Houthi leaders, amid speculation that no progress would be made in the files due to failure, especially those related to the humanitarian aspect.

Grundberg had arrived in Sana'a, last Sunday, to meet the Houthi leaders in the context of coordinated efforts with the international and regional community to push for a return to the peace path.

The UN envoy's visit came days after an Omani delegation held a series of meetings with senior leaders of the Houthi militia, in an effort to get the group to accept a revised proposal to expand and renew the truce that ended in early October.
