Hayes, newsyemen, exclusive:

Residents of the city of Hayes, south of Hodeidah, live in a state of fear and panic as a result of the tragedy of the explosion of a mine of the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, with children who were playing football on a dirt court in the Ring Line area east of the city.

A heinous crime shook the city, after seeing the bodies of the children who fell in the accident, thrown in the playground, which was an outlet for them in order to forget the pains of war left by these militias.

The accident caused the death of two children, Yaqoub Nazhan Faisal and Mufid Muhammad Roza, and injured others, some of them seriously due to the mine planted by the Houthi militia inside the stadium with the aim of killing the joy of children and young people who yearn for life.

 Serious psychological consequences

All the children of Haret Bani Razza and Al-Hassani in the Rab’ Al-Hadrami neighborhood, including the children who witnessed that horrific incident, and lived through the moments of death, gather near the Hays court and watch the dirt field, which is about one kilometer away from them, discussing in their morning diaries this incident and who was lucky to save his soul  From the death of the Houthi mines that were lurking in their lives.

The 14th of this February is a story of endless pain, when Yaqoub and Mufid went out, as usual, to spend hours playing football with the rest of the children of their neighborhood in a dirt field that was almost one of the few outlets in the area.  A sin, so that Al-Houthi would include them in the list of liabilities and targets, as if the children were on a date with death without realizing it.

Regarding the painful incident, the child Abdul Razzaq Ali Raza explains the horror of the incident and the catastrophe that still resonates in every house in the city of Hays: “I was a striker and useful player who was defensive and we were enjoying the game and the ball flew out of the field, and during its return the referee started to whistle and the ball returned to the stadium again.  Mufid set out to besiege Jacob, and when the mine exploded directly with Jacob and Mufid next to him, at that time the ground fell and I did not understand what happened. I was struck with fear and panic from the horror of the accident.

He added, "Jacob was turned into pieces and did not know his shape, either Mufeed from the lower part to the abdomen area was completely scattered and torn, and we recognized him with his face only, and after they helped them, I went home with my right and my heart trembling, even while I was in my house I imagined that in front of the gate of our house there was a mine planted, this  The incident cannot be forgotten until I fell asleep while I was remembering this scene, which became like a nightmare haunting us.

Meteb Ali Raei, 13 years old, talks with pain and anguish about his relationship with the two martyrs and his loss of them. His tears almost shed blood, saying, "We always played together and we did not separate. I was shocked when I saw Jacob flying in the air because of the intensity of the explosion."

With the innocence of childhood, Ali continues to narrate his speech to NewsYemen, "We used to quarrel and quarrel for a little while, as if nothing had happened between us, now I lost my friends," accusing Abdulmalik al-Houthi of the criminal who planted the mine and separated him from his two friends, Yaqoub and Mufid.

He concluded his speech, "After they found the stadium with a minefield in it, they said they would change the stadium for us, but I did not go and my family prevented us from playing, afraid that another catastrophe would happen, and my ears lost the sense of hearing because of the strong explosion."

Extensive combing process

The captain of the 26th team, Masam Sami Saeed Himid, indicated that after the occurrence of this painful accident, we went down to the stadium and the survey teams deployed. Inside the stadium, we found a field of anti-tank mines consisting of a network of 30 mines planted in a criminal way, and we dismantled and extracted them completely, confirming that they are still  To this day, they continue the scanning process with more than one specialized demining team, and every day we find fields and networks of mines planted by the Houthi militia near the scene of the accident.

The areas that were recently liberated from the Houthi militia are still filled with thousands of mines that the militias planted randomly and before fleeing from them. The disasters of mines and their consequences will continue for hundreds of years if they are ignored and without taking into consideration that they are the machine that reaps the lives of generations.

The people of Hayes appealed to the engineering  teams of the joint forces and the Saudi Masam project to intensify their efforts and clear their areas and lands of Houthi mines, calling on the local authority to adopt an executive center to deal with mines in their liberated areas in Hodeidah to eradicate the number of mines and explosives planted by the Houthis in the areas that were under their control and have become  It disturbs the lives of the people.
