The Southern Transitional Council announces its readiness to fight a fateful battle to liberate the north

Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Faraj al-Bahsani, pledged that the people of the south would not abandon their brothers in the northern regions, stressing their readiness to wage a fateful battle to liberate the north from the grip of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

"The people of the south will not abandon their brothers in the northern regions who resisted the militia, but rather will support them in order to get rid of the Houthi militia," Major General Al-Bahsani said, in press statements, hours after his arrival in the city of Seiyun in Hadramout Governorate, in the southeast of the country.

Al-Bahsani continued, "We will fight any fate with the people of the north to liberate from the Houthi militia, and we will not put our hands in the hands of the Houthi militia in any way."

Regarding settlements with the Houthi militia, Major General Al-Bahsani rejected any peace or unity with it, saying that it is "a clear enemy, and if there is a quick settlement, we cannot unite with the Houthi militia," adding, "Even the people of northern Yemen refuse to unite with this terrorist militia."

He stressed the importance of a just solution to the situation in Yemen, which will end any justifications for any problems in the future, stressing the importance of the people of southern Yemen rallying around each other through broad solidarity to confront the threat of the Houthi militia.

He said, "As long as the Houthi enemy is clear and the solutions are clear, we must prepare now through broad solidarity, and all political forces must meet for dialogue and a vision and idea of what the south wants in the next stage."

He revealed the expected field visits that he will carry out in the coming days, to evaluate the work of the local authority in Hadramout governorate, as well as the local authorities in the directorates, and important vital facilities, to see closely the level of their performance, and this will include the military and security agencies as well.

Major General Al-Bahsani considered his appointment as Vice-President of the Transitional Council a "new political mission," noting that the southern leadership and political forces in southern Yemen are preparing for deliberations in Hadramout in light of the upcoming political events.

He stressed the need for all the people of the south to prepare and harness their efforts to obtain the upcoming benefits.

He pointed out that the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council is preparing to hold a session of the National Assembly on May 21 in Hadramout.

He pointed out that the people of Hadhramaut will never disagree about the fate of their province, since the positions that were taken against the backdrop of changes in order to promote the best option for the province and install it in the map of the new political path.

The statements of the member of the Presidential Leadership Council come in light of the Houthi escalation on a number of battle fronts, the most recent of which was in Al-Dhalea, Al-Hodeidah and Taiz, in addition to the group's conduct of Iran's arm in Yemen, military maneuvers to threaten southern Yemen.
