Ma'rib, NewsYemen, Private:

Late on Saturday evening, the Al-Bayda Resistance announced that it was not affiliated with the new component that was announced in the city of Ma'rib under the name "The Supreme Council for Popular Resistance," while the political journalist, Muhammad Muqbil Al-Hamiri, apologized for accepting his appointment to the council's advisory committee.

Al-Bayda and Al-Himyari resistance agreed to support any components or entities that oppose the terrorist Houthi militia and Iran's project, but at the same time they confirmed that they did not know or coordinate with them regarding the formation of this component.

The statement issued by the Al-Bayda Resistance expressed its surprise at the issuance of such a statement and the declaration of an entity bearing the name of the Popular Resistance without any coordination with the various factions of the resistance that are fighting the priesthood of the coup in all governorates of Yemen.

The Al-Bayda Resistance considered the monopoly of such actions as a continuation of the absurdity that the people of Yemen have suffered from over the past eight years, expressing its wishes that such entities be inclusive for all, away from exclusion and marginalization, which was a major reason for what we are in.

The conclusion of the statement came, "Therefore, the leadership of the Al-Bayda Resistance notes that what was announced today has nothing to do with the popular resistance, and it wishes those in charge of it to review the matter and put the national interest in their sights, away from the prosecution of partisan affiliations and purposes."

In turn, Al-Hamiry said that he learned from social media that his name was mentioned in the formation of this component within the advisory committee, stressing that he did not know in advance or consulted with him about that.

Despite his blessing for the formation of this component, he apologized for accepting the appointment, stressing that his position does not mean abandoning his national role in resisting the coup and restoring the state and its legitimate institutions.

And on Saturday, in the city of Ma’rib, which is under the control of the Islah Party, the local branch of the Brotherhood, it announced the formation of a new component under the name “The Supreme Council for Popular Resistance,” headed by the Brotherhood leader residing in Istanbul, Hammoud al-Mikhlafi, and it includes all the resistance councils and national forces.

However, the denial of Al-Bayda’s resistance and Al-Hamiry’s apology revealed the fact that this component belongs to the Islah Party, which apparently seeks to strike at efforts to bridge the gap between the forces opposing Iran’s project in Yemen and restore the situation in the country to square one.
