Al-Alimi: Saudi support is a decisive message to the militias about peace

Al-Alimi, in a post on his Twitter, made it clear that the meaning of this message is that the Yemeni people are not alone, and that the time has come for these militias, after they have tried all means of destruction, to give priority to the interests of our people over the interests of their leaders, to listen to the voice of wisdom, and to align themselves with the long-awaited just peace option. Pointing out that this support confirms the Kingdom's honorable position and its committed approach to supporting the Yemeni people, their constitutional legitimacy, alleviating their human suffering, and protecting their legitimate rights in reconstruction, building state institutions, peace, stability, and development.
He added that this fraternal and humane approach of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented a safety valve not only for the national state in Yemen, but for the countries and peoples of the entire region, and international peace and security, praising the governmental efforts, the two economic teams in the two brotherly countries, and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, which yielded this. Generous support to fulfill the imperative obligations of the state, and to continue its comprehensive reforms in various fields.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced, on Tuesday, the provision of new economic support to the Yemeni government, amounting to 1.2 billion dollars, in response to its request to help it address its budget deficit, and in support of the Presidential Leadership Council, according to the Saudi Press Agency, "SPA".
Finance Minister Salem bin Brik confirmed that Saudi support for the budget will make a big difference in enhancing food security and the economic situation in general, stressing in televised statements that it will also enhance the sustainability of public finances and contribute to alleviating the difficult humanitarian situation that the Yemeni citizen suffers from.
"We lost 65% of the state's general budget revenues because of the Houthi militia's targeting of oil facilities, and this grant will mitigate the impact of that," he said.
