Report: Horrific crimes are committed by the Houthi militias in Taiz in January

A human rights observatory documented 135 violations were committed by the Houthi militias in Taiz province in January.

The Information Center and Human Rights Rehabilitation said that its field team documented the deaths of 23 civilians, including two women who were killed by Houthis' snipers.

Another 68 civilians, including a woman and two children, were killed by mines and improvised explosive devices planted by the armed militias.

Four civilians, including two women and one child, were killed by Houthi-fired missiles at villages and residential areas, while another civilian was killed by torture in Houthis' jails, the report said.

A child was killed by a direct shot of the militias' member in Taiz, the report added.

The field team monitored the two forced displacement of dozens of families, one by force of arms on al-Fateh's residents in Saber al-Mawadem, and the other by intensive and continuous shelling in al-Barh Triangle in Mocha, al-Wazee'ah west area of Taiz province, monitoring the displacement of nineteen families.
