A family of the Yemeni Journalist Mohammed al-Absi accused the Criminal Investigation Department in the capital Sana'a of trying to bury al-Absi's case and obliterating the evidence, describing it as "strange behavior."

Al-Absi's family said in a statement that the Criminal Investigation Department in the Capital Sana'a keep the file of the martyr Mohammed Abdo al-Absi for more than one and a half years with the insistence of burying the case and obscuring its evidence.

"Attempts to bury the case of al-Absi are carried out with the clear complicity of the Criminal Investigation Office. The case has not yet been referred to the Prosecution, and no serious action has been taken in investigating and summoning the perpetrators (the persons named in the investigation records)", the statement read.

The family of the Journalist al-Absi holds the Criminal Investigation Department, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the de facto authority in Sana'a accountable for the loss of the martyr's blood and the impunity of the criminals for their failure and negligence, for failing to take any serious action in his case and for burying the case in its cradle from the very first moment of its occurrence."

The family of the journalist Mohammed Abdo al-Absi demanded to reveal the truth, justice and victory for the victim's case through tracking down and prosecuting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
