On Monday, torrential rains washed away the tents of displaced people in The Hess district of Hodeidah province, western Yemen.

The floods severely damaged the housing of the displaced people built from the (straw) in the centre of Hesse, particularly the houses on the outskirts of the city.

The rains also damaged the contents of the houses, including food and furniture, and filled the water as a result of heavy rains in the directorate.

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, renewed the shelling of residential areas in Hess with various types of weapons, and the bombing targeted the directorate's center.

The Houthi shelling caused panic and fear among the population and displaced people living on the outskirts of the directorate, not women and children.
