Yemenis believe the road to peace is still far away
English - Saturday 08 December 2018 الساعة 09:14 amThe majority of the Yemeni people do not believe that the current round of the political consultations in Sweden between the legitimate government and the Houthis could lead to practical results that can be built upon to establish a solution that would put an end to the war.
The majority of the Yemeni people also believe that the road to peace is still far away.
On the first day of the consultations, the Houthis fired artillery and mortar shells at the CityMax Commercial Center in al-Hodaidah city, destroying the center and burning it completely, while they are continuing to blow up civilian and military facilities and digging more combat tunnels.
In the midst of the recent international moves to resume the Yemeni talks, the Houthis' desire for a cease-fire has become a "truce" limited to al-Hodaidah city only and excludes various military fronts.
The liberation of al-Hodaidah city means to cut off the arteries of a military and an economic supply, putting the Houthi militias ahead the difficult choices.
