Social Affairs and Labor Ministry in the State of Kuwait announced the dissolution of the Kuwait's Al-Salam Humanitarian and Charity Society according to a ministerial decree.

The move came as a result of the irregularities raised by the Charitable Societies Department to the Ministry.

The dissolved Society had signed an agreement with the Deputy Taiz province, allied to Brothers Movement, Islah Party, AbdulQawi al-Mekhlafi to establish a residential city for Martyrs Orphans.

Later disagreement occurred between the deputy and Taiz Axis Leader Khaled Fadel who, the latter, considered himself entitled to signed the agreement with the Society.

The agreement was signed in Aden city, south Yemen, in Aug. 2018  in the presence of Yemeni Ambassador to Kuwait Ali Mansoor bin Safaa

The agreement was stipuated to establish 300 housing units at a cost of KD,1,400,000

Just two weeks after the signing of the agreement, the Chairman of al-Salam charitable and Humanitarian Society, Jassim Al-Oun, announced that on the last day of the campaign, the total donations amounted to KD 1,121,000 , hoping that the amount would reach  KD1,395,000

The representative of the Society in Yemen opened a private university in Taiz after he stopped supporting  a local radio allied the Islah party which was funded by the Society's donations in Kuwait.

Gulf States, including Kuwait dry up the financial support of the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in several countries, including Yemen.
