Houthi landmines kill, injure five civilians in Lahj, al-Dhale'

A woman was killed and her children were injured on Saturday in a Houthi landmine blast in Lahj province, a medical source said.

The source added that Dalelah AbdulSamad was killed in the landmine was planted by the Houthi militias in al-Shuraijah area, while her son Azzam, 14, and her daughter, Ghaida, 3, were injued while the all on their way to receive social security benefits.

The source pointed out that the committee who is charged with paying the social security benefits was unable to enter the area controlled by the militias.

The militias forced the civilians to get another road where the committee is located so as to receive their social security benefits

In the same context, a farmer was killed and a woman was injured in a Houthi landmine blast in a village in Murais district in al-Dhale' province.

A local source said that the landmine exploded at the civilian Mu'taz al-Sayadi in the agricultural land.
