Houthi militias explodes battle south al-Hodeida upon Lollesgaard's arrival in al-Hodeida

Clashes erupted just before midnight on Tuesday in al-Tuhaita district, south al-Hodeida province amid Houthi's attempts to infiltrate into sites of the Joint Resistance Forces.

Units of the Joint Resistance Forces repulsed the Houthi attacks and their attempts to sneak to south front in the district after 11 pm.

The al-Amaleqa Brigade repelled militias' attempts attackers sustained casualties among them, as the militias usually do, Houthis militias indiscriminately fired at residential neighborhoods and civilians' houses.

Militias continue to commit violations and breaches of the ceasefire in conjunction with the meetings of the UN Coordinating Committee with the participation of the government and Houthi militias for the third day on a UN Ship on the Sea.

A military source monitored Tuesday the renewed Houthis' violations and their shelling in al-Hodeida city and in al-Jah area to the south.

Houthi shelling on al-Sabah School in Ghulail neighborhood south al-Hodeida city killed two civilians and injured others.  

Danish former general Michael Lollesgaard as new head of the UN observer of the Redeployment Coordination Committee arrived in al-Hodeida on a UN ship to head the first meeting in presence of the UN Patrick Cammaert
