Houthis ban Yemeni Women's Union to celebrate Women's Day

The Houthi militias prevented Thursday the Yemeni Women's Union to holding an event on the occasion of International Women's Day under the pretext of "preventing mixing" between invited guests of both sexes.
A source at the Union told Newsyemen that the armed militias prevented the establishment of a commemorative event to commemorate the International Women's Day, which was supposed to be held in al-Sabeen garden in the Capital Sana'a.
The Yemeni Women's Union announced to organize a charity bazaar in al-Sabeen garden from 7 to 9 March to mark International Women's Day, before apologizing through its accounts on social media announcing the postponement of the event until further notice.
