Popular Crowd of Islah party loots properties in Old city of Taiz

An official source of Abu al-Abbas battalions on Monday condemned the looting of public and private properties, which accompanied the Popular Crowd militias' attack at the headquarters of the battalions in the old city of Taiz.

"Abu Abbas battalions said " What we had kept it for three years of people's property,  looted by the Popular Crowd militias of the Islah Party.

The source said that the pictures that were shared for a number of household items were looted from the stores belonging to Yemen's Economic Corporation.

The battalions kept the Corporation's properties so as to prevent their looting by the outlawed groups.  

He added that "we had reserved the assets of the Yemen's economic Corporation in private warehouses, under tight guard, and we kept until it is delivered to the leadership of the branch of the Corporation  in Taiz, the authority authorizes to receive these properties, when the Corporation returns to work."

According to the source, the Battalions leadership did not expect to extend the hands of the aggressors who beat the old city and its neighborhoods and stormed the battalions' headquarters to loot and steal these property, which is a public property and a right for every citizen.

In an audio recording, Abu al-Abbas said that the battalions had recovered the headquarters after its looting, denying their withdrawal from the city.
