U.N. : 190 cholera deaths since the beginning of 2019

The United Nations has announced 190 cholera-related deaths in Yemen since the beginning of this year, warning an increase of people affected by the epidemic that ravaged the country due two armed conflict two years ago.

"Two years after the worst outbreak of cholera in Yemen, the number of suspected cases of cholera and acute diarrhea has increased in recent weeks," the United Nations Resident Coordinator's Office said in a statement.

There were about 109,000 possible cases between January 1 and March 17, and 190 deaths related to cholera in the same period.
