Wide security campaign in al-Mahra to prevent holding arms

Authorities in al-Mahra province launched a large-scale security campaign to prevent carrying of arms and firing bullets, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in al-Mahra province Salim Abdullah said.
Abdullah added that the campaign will be carried out by the Public Security Forces in the province amid preparing of the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.
The campaign also included numbering metal plates of vehicles, and combating negative phenomena in the society.
The government official called on residents and expatriates to commit and help security in the implementation of the campaign objectives to maintain security and stability.
