Militias of Popular Crowd kidnap child, threaten to kill him in Taiz

The Popular Crowd militias of the Islah Party kidnapped a minor child in Maqbana district, west of Taiz province, central Yemen, a local source said.

The source added that the Brotherhood militias kidnapped the child Afif Mohammed al-Sufi, 15 years, in Mahlasan village in the district.

The kidnapping took place in front of the mosque village after beating him, and the militias assaulted the child without committing a crime, taking him to unknown destination.

The militias threatened to kill the child in case his family did not pay a financial sum in return of releasing him.

The source said that the family of Afif al-Sufi is one of the Legitimacy supporters, as well as the family supports the Resistance financially, in addition, the family has no relation with Houthi militias backed by Iran.

According to security information, the Popular Crowd militias have previously arrested a number of children in the village, and accused them of collaborating with the Houthi militias.

The Popular Crowd released them after their families paid money to leaders of Maqbana front.
