Army arrests, tortures eight young people in march in Sayoun

Military forces of the First Military Region arrested eight youths, their ages ranging from between 15 and 18, in a march in Sayoun city on Sunday.

According to local sources, the youths were arrested on Algiers Street by plainclothes soldiers.

The  youths were imprisoned by the soldiers for two days, local sources said, adding that the youths were tortured without any charges.

The youths were tortured by the soldiers to recognize the party or else that push them to hold a demonstration.  

A source at the First Military Region said that the youths signed on a document, stating that they would not participate in any subsequent demonstration and not participate in any party to carry out any political actions, and not talk about the methods of torture they have been received in prison or informed anyone.

The source indicated that the Arab Coalition Command ordered the forces of Abu Awja of the First Military Region to release the young men, but Abu Awja forces lasted and stalled eight hours to implement orders.
