The UAE Red Crescent on Sunday opened a Fish Landing Center in al-Matenah area in al-Tuhaita district in al-Hodeida province, western Yemen.

The representative of the Red Crescent on the West Coast said that the opening project came after completing the project, which consists of a courtyard, a management room and a bathroom, in addition to providing an integrated solar system.

He added that more than 4000 fishermen in the areas of al-Matenah, al-Jalbla, Ras al-Ahsi, al-Nakheel, al-Saqf, al-Ghuwaireq and al-Buqa'ah, and al-Faza will benefit from the new Fish Landing Site.

The Crescent Authority has rehabilitated and established 24 Fish Landing Centers on the West Coast of Yemen.

He pointed out that this project will end the suffering of fishermen, as a result of the lack of a Fish Landing Center in the past, pointing out that a number of fishing boats and fishermen in the field of fishing have significantly begun their activity. Around 9000 people will benefit from this new project.

Fishermen on the West Coast of Yemen hailed the great efforts carried out by the UAE through its humanitarian arm in Yemen represented by the Red Crescent.
