UAE Red Crescent inaugurates two water projects in Shabwa

The UAE Red Crescent Authority on Sunday opened two water projects in Shabwa province, southeast of Yemen.
The project includes the establishment of an integrated solar water pumping unit in al-Daimah and al-Aghlah areas in Merkhah al-Sufla district in the province.
"These two projects come of the UAE's role in improving the humanitarian situation in Yemen, alleviating the suffering of the population and supporting infrastructure projects to face difficult conditions", said Humaid Rashid al-Shamsi Emirates Red Crescent (ERC).
Al-Shamsi pointed out that the Authority seeks to solve a water problem shortage and its scarcity in Shabwa areas, pointing out it is the most prominent problem faced by the people of the desert areas.
