Finance Ministry orders to close government accounts at commercial, Islamic banks & open accounts at CBY

The Ministry of Finance, run by the Legitimate government in Aden, ordered to close the bank accounts of all ministries, agencies, institutions and government departments in commercial and Islamic banks.
According to an official document, seen by NewsYemen, the Finance Ministry endorsed the closure of all government accounts in the commercial and Islamic banks, and open accounts at the Central Bank of Yemen in Aden (CBY).
The Minister of Finance Ahmed Obaid al-Fadhli directed the Circular No. (3) of 2019, the Ministers and the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, the governors of the provinces and heads of institutions and government departments to close all open accounts of the government institutions at the commercial and Islamic banks.
