More than 8,000 families receive food aid in Mocha

Eight thousand families in Mocha district in Taiz province received food aid for July provided by the World Food Program (WFP) on Tuesday.
The food aid contains integrated food baskets, a bag and a half of flour, two five-liter oil bottles and a quantity of beans, sugar and salt.
The WFP targets the poorest and displaced people in various areas in Mocha district.
The war, ignited by the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has left millions of families in poverty, destitution and deprivation.
Alleviating the precarious living conditions, international organizations, including the WFP contribute to providing food baskets monthly to eligible families or families in need of help.
