IMF urges Hadi government to pay public sector salaries across Yemen

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) urged on Friday the Legitimate government to pay the salaries of all civil servants in all areas of Yemen.
This came in the final recommendations of its mission to participate in the annual consultations with the government delegation, which was held in the Jordanian capital Amman during the period 10-18 July.
The IMF stressed the need to strengthen the revenue collection process and take further measures to prioritize spending to maintain economic stability.
He pointed out that despite the expected increase in oil and gas revenues, the fiscal deficit is likely to remain very large and difficult to finance through non-inflationary means
