Commander al-Hammadi : al-Berain events ignited by third party to target 35th Brigade & al-Ma'afer district

The Brigadier General Adnan al-Hammadi, the Commander of the 35th Armored Brigade said on Sunday that he stands strongly with the local authority in enhancing the security stability in al-Ma'afer district in Taiz province, as it represents one of the brigade's deployment areas and is a major factor in its strength and cohesion to push the liberation battle of the Iranian-Houthi militias.

Al-Hammadi stressed that the 35th Armored Brigade is keen to stand by the local authority and the security services in enhancing the stability and security of the passengers or travelers without interference in their affairs and is always preparing for any tasks or reinforcements required by the local authority to confront any security incidents.

Al-Hammadi touched upon the recent developments in al-Berain area, stressing that the 35th Armored Brigade has nothing to do with what had happened, adding individual actions of armed groups over a car carrying smuggled cigarettes and exploited by a third party who ignited and exacerbated the problem and armed confrontations aiming to introduce the district and the 35th Brigade into conflicts for the sake of narrow political and party interests.

He pointed out the Brigade intervened in the first moments to contain the besiege the area of armed clashes and exacerbate the problem, as it was intended by a third party.

We immediately set up a committee to investigate the cause of the problem and all participants those who involved in the confrontations. We called the representatives of the two sides of the confrontations, and some of them responded and came to the brigade, and were investigated, while the other party, represented by al-Tahesh, did not come, al-Hammadi continued.

He said that al-Tahesh refused to attend and obey the commands of the brigade's leadership. Al-Tahesh continued to set up sites and to bring weapons and militants from outside the district to blow up a large-scale armed conflict in the area.

The commander al-Hammadi expressed his readiness to implement the local authority's outcomes over the latest developments in al-Berain area, in order to remove any fuse to blow up the conflict and to spare the area a new internal conflict.
