The Social Fund for Development (SFD) began the process of paving and repairing some streets and sub-streets in Mocha city as well as planting ornamental trees in a move that would improve the face of the civilized city.

The five-month project seeks to pave and plant a number of central islands in Mocha city, said the director-general of the project for support and employment of displaced persons in the Mocha district Eng. Munther al-Ariki.

He added that the project is primarily aimed at employing some 850 displaced and stable families in Mocha. He explained that the work began Sunday on Suez Street, and Dr. Anis Street, and paved part of the courtyard of the Martyr al-Dakhin School.

The project, which runs for about 1500 days, includes paving a number of streets, planting ornamental trees, paving corridors within the islands and tours, and putting chairs and umbrellas for rest.

It also aims to create stadiums and rehabilitate the stadium, which will contribute to improving sports infrastructure in Mocha city.
