Fatima Haider remembers how she did she face several difficulties when she decided to set up a poultry farm as a part of its first project in a rural village in Mocha district in Taiz province

Fatima Haider said to NewsYemen It was almost 10 years ago, in the rural area called al-Qalol village in al-Zahari area, and we did not have enough money to run such a project, but the determination and the will to reach the goals make it possible

In the beginning, we built a small building according to what is done in poultry farms, and then we bought a number of hens for reproduction," she said in her speech filled with a ecstasy of victory over the difficulties she faced in achieving her dream

With no special machines for egg hatching, the traditional method was used, although it was very tired to use the old method, but it was a preferred method for not being able to buy these new hatching devices and how to deal with them

Over the years, the farm has been packed with hundreds of hens producing eggs, while the smaller ones are sold as meat food

Due to the unavailability of feed and the difficulty of obtaining it, it is provided by local production materials and mixed with other grains and other materials to feed poultry, but without adding any hormones for fattening

Today, the farm is a source of income of Fatima Haider, chickens are sold and eggs, the project remains a model for small projects that have faced several difficulties since the beginning of its launch

However, patience and determination to achieve the goals turn them successful, productive and even profitable household projects
